This weekend I had the pleasure of picking up two different beauty freebies. Luckily, I celebrate my birthday in the month of March, so I was able to receive my birthday gift from Sephora. I received the Benefit 'Real Birthday Turn-Ons' mini set, which includes a mini 'They're Real!' mascara and Watt's Up ! Highlighter.
My favorite thing about this set is definitely the mascara. Little did I know, this mascara is the number one mascara of something--and I can really see why. Even with one layer of this mascara on, you can definitely see the difference immediately. I also really like the long lasting ability of this product without the stick residue that volumizing mascaras tend to leave after the day is over.
The highlighter is nice for those who wear little makeup--I kind of feel that whenever I put it on, I can barely see it. I think this would work better on a summer day when I'm not wearing much foundation but want a little extra something. The product itself is not heavy whatsoever and provides a slight shimmer if enough is layered. I was a little disappointed with the size of this sample, it is extremely small !
After my trip to Sephora, I headed over to MAC where I traded in six empty product bottles to qualify for the Back-To-MAC program. In desperate need of a nude lipstick, I picked up 'Freckle Tone' (lustre) and absolutely love it !
